pearls are the dark moon, the swollen tides, my inner musings enameled over and over and over a small irritant of sand. they are the luminescent remains of suffering. i use them as a reminder of resilience and beauty. the baroque ones are my favorite because their uniqueness illustrates that perfection isn't always predictable. Tahitian, baroque, Edison and keshi pearls dominate my palate, a mermaids addiction. 
like pearls, shells are a vulnerable creatures creation. architectural marvels, shells house and protect with luster and rich color. creativity is evident with each mollusks expression of home.
a colony of invertebrate beings secretes calcium as a protective mechanism twisting and turning as it grows creating gorgeous branches mimicking trees. these forests beneath the sea can be full of rich colors. coral is the oceans proof of community.
